Note: Instead of Easter Themed embellishments, spring ones will be used.

Class Description:

In this class, students will learn various mixed media techniques and materials to create either an Art Journal Page or Canvas. April will focus on the theme of Spring.

In this class, students will learn how to create 4 cards from one sheet of double sided 6x6 paper pad or 2 sheets 6x6 single sided paper pad.

In this class, students will learn how to create a simple easel card and embellish the card for the celebration needed.

Mixed Media: Angel of Home

Mixed Media: Angel of Home

Cost: $25 plus Materials

Length of Class: 2 Hours

Class Description:

In this class, students will create either a mixed media canvas or art journal page in the style of Christy Tomlinson figures. Students will create a dimensional background using papers, paints and stencils, then create the figure from paper. Once dry, students will add more texture by doodling on the project. We will also add some dimension by using wire to create the wings.

Coloring 102: Advanced Shading

Coloring 102: Advanced Shading

Class Description:

In this class, students will learn more advanced shading using a single pencil then adding mid and dark tones using the colors in the same color family and colors selected through the use of a color wheel.

In this class, students will learn how to use different mediums in a single drawing to add depth to the image but not create an overly waxy surface.

Class Description:

Round weaves are worked in the round as opposed to flat then turned round. The Inverted Round unlike the Turkish and Round weaves does not have any flip backs and produces rows that are more triangular than round.
